Star-rating metrics

CosmetiQ-MCP doesn’t rely solely on free-text sentiment - the system also ingests every quantitative score a platform/source records.

For each review we also store:

rating_moisturising	1–5	Perceived hydration level
rating_absorption	1–5	How quickly the formula sinks in
rating_irritation	1–5 (reversed: 1 = no irritation)	Comfort / sensitivity response
rating_scent*	1–5	Satisfaction with the fragrance (when the site provides it)

Because these numeric fields sit in the same row as the AI-derived signals, you can:

• Cross-check text claims with hard scores E.g., “Users say it feels weightless” → confirm rating_absorption ≥ 4.5.

• Segment satisfaction by profile E.g., compare rating_moisturising for oily- vs dry-skin reviewers.

• Spot trade-offs E.g., high rating_overall but low rating_scent may signal a reformulation opportunity.

In short, CosmetiQ-MCP fuses qualitative narratives with quantitative stars, giving you a 360° view of how each product performs.
